A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk emails, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also vital to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you’ve got a shared hosting with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally just one mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have set up under any domain registered in your account. You can pick one email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all emails sent to mistyped email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
